U.K v.s. U.S.

The U.S. and Rome are alike in many ways. One reason why the U.S. is like Rome is our government setup; we have a senate like Rome; the word Senate came from Rome. Another reason why the U.S. is like Rome is our security. Just like Rome's soldiers being stretched throughout Hadrian's Wall, our army is strong and is spread out, or scattered, over Iraq and other areas. Also Rome had a huge mass of land it controlled. Like Rome we control a huge area of land. We also live in opulence like Rome did centuries ago. Like Rome, we have all the characteristics and lifestyle that makes us compare to them.
In contrast to Rome, however, the U.S. will never fall like Rome did. Our technology is constantly growing and evolving throughout the years. Our industries also grow; we have jobs and transportation, and also we make products that continue to be important in our lives.  We are now developing high-tech weapons to protect ourselves from enemies and other dangers. Our country also is becoming more and more dominant each passing year.
In comparison to Rome, for instance, if the U.S. ever does fall, as a result, we will regress back to a traditional economy like Rome did when it fell. We will not have any name brand clothes we wear like Polo, Nike, or Aeropostale. Our lifestyles will change from having nice products to making our products from wood or grass. We won't be living in big, extravagant houses anymore; we will be living in mud huts like the Anglo-Saxons. Our civilization will also go back to a point of hard labor and hunting and fighting for our survival.
